Julia L Wright All my images begin as a photograph taken on a hike in the natural world. In 2015 I fell down a "rabbit hole" of creativity. I began to play with the images. Some became very abstract or surreal. Others appear as if one was looking into a Kaleidoscope and a moment in time is frozen in that view. When one looks deeply into these images many faces or psychedelic images appear.
I was inspired by a song by Shawn Gallaway to create the "I Choose Love" series. Each heart holds a natural element to reflect upon what is most important in life. And I am always willing to take requests to create a new image anyone would love to hold in their heart.
Squirrels have always been a joy for me. Each squirrel image has a realistic squirrel, but they are placed in a wild world created by manipulating the place they were standing at the time. Children love these images!
My Gratitude and Earth series included inspirational quotes placed in one of my mostly original photos. Some have some manipulation, but mostly capture the beauty found around us that most needs our protection. Any of these could also be recreated without the quote if one so desired to have the image alone.
