I came to Colorado from northern Illinois to study theater at UNC, focusing on directing and set design. I moved to a little mountain town after graduation. At this time, my artistic career morphed into being a fiber artist and I traveled to art festivals around the country. For many years I focus on creating unique planters and wall hangings integrating found objects and weavings into my macrame creations. I next began to create transformational feather masks and jewelry. About 15 years ago, I began writing books based on my experiences of creating a sustainable art festival that I have coordinated for most of its 48 years and other nature-based topics.
